About Car Rental in Dubai

Car hire is how most visitors get around Dubai. The metro covers the Sheikh Zayed Road corridor well, but the city is spread out, and areas such as Al Quoz, Jumeirah and the outer communities are far easier with a car. Rental rates here are low by international standards, and almost every company quotes three tiers — daily, weekly and monthly — with the monthly rate usually working out at a small fraction of thirty daily rentals.

The listings below come from rental companies operating across Dubai. Each car shows its daily, weekly and monthly rate in AED, the mileage allowance included at each tier, the charge for exceeding it, the minimum rental period, and whether insurance is part of the quoted price. Those terms vary far more between companies than the headline rate does, which is why they are shown on every listing rather than buried in a booking flow.

To rent in Dubai you need a licence your rental company will accept, a passport or Emirates ID, and a credit card for the security deposit. Visitors from many countries need an International Driving Permit alongside their home licence; UAE residents must use a UAE licence. Salik road tolls and traffic fines are charged back to the renter, normally against the deposit after the car is returned.
