Towards the end of every month, car owners in the UAE keep their eyes peeled for one thing: the latest UAE petrol and diesel price announcement. The fuel prices for August 2026 have just been announced, giving motorists an idea of how much they’ll be paying at the pump over the coming month… Super 98: Dhs3.80 (a from Dhs3.60 in August) Special 95: Dhs3.69 (a from Dhs3.49 in August) E-Plus 91: Dhs3.61 (a from Dhs3.41 in August) Diesel: Dhs4.30 (a from Dhs3.80 in August) January 2026: Dhs2.53 February 2026: Dhs2.45 March 2026: Dhs2.59 April 2026: Dhs3.39 May 2026: Dhs3.66 June 2026: Dhs3.95 July 2026: Dhs3.40 August 2026: Dhs3.60 September 2026: Dhs3.80 January 2025: Dhs2.61 February 2025: Dhs2.74 March 2025: Dhs2.73 April 2025: Dhs2.57 May 2025: Dhs2.58 June 2025: Dhs2.58 July 2025: Dhs2.70 August 2025: Dhs2.69 September 2025: Dhs2.70 October 2025: Dhs2.77 November 2025: Dhs2.63 December 2025: Dhs2.70 The petrol prices in the country for the following month are always announced on the last day of the month. If prices are set to rise, people stop by the petrol stations to fill up before the month ends. If they drop, they usually wait until the new prices come into effect before heading to the pump. The lowest petrol price recorded this year was in February, when Super 98 cost Dhs2.45 per litre. Since then, prices have steadily increased, rising to Dhs2.59 in March, Dhs3.39 in April, Dhs3.66 in May and Dhs3.95 in June. The UAE’s Ministry of Energy first began setting fuel prices based on average global prices in August 2015. Prior to that, the price of petrol in the UAE was subsidised by the government, which shielded consumers from global fluctuations in fuel costs. We will be keeping our eyes peeled for any fuel price changes throughout September 2026. If we spot any fluctuations, we’ll keep you informed. Stay tuned to.ae.
