About Restaurants in Dubai & the UAE

Dubai's restaurant scene is unusually broad for a city its size — the population is largely expatriate, and the food reflects that, with substantial Indian, Pakistani, Filipino, Lebanese, Iranian, Chinese and British cooking alongside the fine dining that gets most of the attention.

The restaurants listed here span the whole range, from neighbourhood cafés in Deira and Al Barsha to hotel dining rooms on the Palm and in Downtown. Each listing shows the location, contact details, opening hours where available, and any current offer — many carry two-for-one and similar dining deals that apply on specific days or to specific parts of the menu, and the conditions are shown with the offer.

Dubai's dining areas are fairly distinct. Downtown and Business Bay concentrate on hotel and high-rise restaurants; Dubai Marina and JBR are more casual and waterfront-facing; Deira and Al Karama hold much of the city's long-established, lower-priced cooking; and Jumeirah and Al Quoz have most of the independent café scene.

Frequently asked questions

Where are the best areas to eat in Dubai?

Downtown Dubai and Business Bay for hotel and fine dining, Dubai Marina and JBR for casual waterfront restaurants, Deira and Al Karama for long-established South Asian and Middle Eastern cooking, and Jumeirah and Al Quoz for independent cafés.

Do Dubai restaurants serve alcohol?

Alcohol is served in licensed venues, which in practice means restaurants attached to hotels and a number of standalone licensed establishments. Listings that serve alcohol are marked with that amenity.

Are there halal restaurants in Dubai?

The great majority of restaurants in Dubai serve halal food, and listings confirmed as halal carry that amenity so you can filter for it directly.

How do the dining offers work?

Most are two-for-one style deals on food, and many are limited to particular days, particular menus, or exclude drinks. The specific conditions and the expiry date are shown alongside each offer on the restaurant's page.
