Dubai is constantly evolving, with everything from bold new buildings reshaping the skyline to updated laws and guidelines influencing everyday life. As we head into the hot summer months, the emirate is preparing for some pretty major changes, including new laws, revised Salik tolls and a chance to get some serious bargains. Scroll to discover the biggest changes coming to Dubai this summer. Dubai has introduced a four-day working week and reduced hours for public sector employees. On Monday June 29, the Dubai Government Human Resources Department implemented a reduced summer schedule to allow employees a greater work-life balance. It is the third successive year that the ‘Our Flexible Summer‘ programme has been brought into place, with this year’s initiative in place until Thursday September 10. The initiative introduces two flexible working models that enable government entities to balance employee needs with operational requirements while also maintaining a high standard of service. One model provides a four-day working week, while the other provides a five-day working week with reduced hours.
