12 wellness and fitness activities in Dubai to try this September

September is the month of the comeback. Holidays wrap up, school starts, work picks up and Dubai settles into the stretch of the year when there’s more to do, see and get back on top of. Summer is still around, but the promise of cooler days makes it easier to commit to the things you kept meaning to do. Fitness activities are still largely an indoor affair for now – studios, gyms, recovery rooms and quiet corners of the city – but that’s no bad thing. Here’s where to make September count. A post shared by GymNation (@gymnation_me) GymNation is taking the mirrors out of the equation with Dans le Noir: Class in the Dark, a 45-minute workout where the lights stay off and the focus is entirely on how you move. You’ll work through strength, functional movement and breathwork with a weighted vest, wrist weights and wireless headphones, guided by the instructor’s voice. The first Dubai sessions are happening this September, with limited spaces available. When: Sundays, September 6, 13, 20 and 27, 8.30am Make Saturdays a little slower with Blended x DRIFT, a weekly wellness day that pairs a morning class with pool and beach time. Each week brings a different session, from Vinyasa flow and breathwork to Pilates, sound healing and meditation, plus a reserved sun lounger and Dhs200 to spend on food and drinks by the pool.
