4 international airlines are returning to Dubai in the next two weeks

Planning a European getaway? There’s good news for travellers, with four international airlines set to bring back flights to Dubai between October 23 and November 1. The returning services will reconnect Dubai with popular destinations across Greece, Germany and Switzerland, just in time for the cooler months and festive season. These routes will offer more options for travelling between Dubai and Europe. Here’s when each airline is returning and which destinations you can fly to. From October 23, Aegean Airlines will resume flights between Dubai and Athens. The Greek carrier will initially operate services on selected days, with flights scheduled in the evening. The route gives travellers a direct flight to Athens, the perfect starting point for exploring the Greek capital and the nearby Greek islands. From October 25, Lufthansa will bring back flights between Dubai and its two German hubs, Frankfurt and Munich. Both cities are popular winter destinations, particularly for travellers looking to visit traditional Christmas markets. The routes will also provide connections to other destinations across Germany and Europe through Lufthansa’s wider network. From October 27, SWISS will resume its Dubai to Zurich route. The return gives travellers more options for a Swiss getaway, from exploring Zurich’s old town to visiting the nearby mountains. From November 1, Eurowings will restart flights to Dubai from Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne-Bonn. The airline plans to operate 14 flights per week across the three routes, including daily services from Berlin, four flights a week from Stuttgart and three from Cologne-Bonn. Austrian Airlines is also set to return on December 12, with flights between Dubai and Vienna restarting just in time for the festive season. British Airways will resume its daily London Heathrow service on November 3, before increasing to twice-daily flights next year. However, not every airline is returning this year. Cathay Pacific, United Airlines, Air Canada and Virgin Atlantic have all postponed their return until 2027.
