Absolut and TABASCO® have launched a new spicy vodka

If you’re the person who always reaches for the hot sauce, this one has your name all over it. Absolut Vodka and Tabasco ® have joined forces on Absolut ® TABASCO ™, a new spicy vodka now available in the UAE and the Middle East, made for Bloody Marys, spicy lemonades and cocktails with a little kick. Absolut ® TABASCO ™ comes in at 38% ABV and starts with Absolut Vodka, infused with a natural essence derived from the fermented and aged red pepper mash used to make TABASCO ® Sauce. There’s no added sugar, and you can expect that familiar TABASCO ® flavour followed by a warming heat that builds as you drink it. The collaboration brings together two brands with histories stretching back more than a century. TABASCO ® Sauce has been made on Avery Island, Louisiana since 1868 using red peppers, salt and vinegar, with its pepper mash aged and fermented in oak barrels for up to three years. Absolut, meanwhile, has been produced in Ahus in southern Sweden since the 1870s, using winter wheat, water from a local deep well and its own strain of yeast. You’ll see both brands in the bottle design, too. Absolut’s recognisable apothecary-inspired shape gets the TABASCO ® treatment with its diamond logo and familiar red and green colours. The Spicy Bloody Mary is the hero serve, mixing Absolut ® TABASCO ™ with tomato juice, lemon, Worcestershire sauce and spices, finished with a Cajun spice rim and fresh garnish. If tomato juice isn’t your thing, there’s also the much simpler Spicy Lemonade – an easy way to bring a little heat into brunch or cocktail hour. Absolut ® TABASCO ™ is rolling out across selected bars and restaurants in the UAE, as well as MMI stores and duty-free, so you can try it out or pick up a bottle for your own cocktail experiments.
