Abu Dhabi Comedy Season adds two more comics to lineup

Two more comedy heavyweights have been added to Abu Dhabi Comedy Season at Etihad Arena on November 21 2026. American comedian Aries Spears is headed to Abu Dhabi for the first time, bringing along his high-energy, unfiltered stand-up. Also taking to the Etihad Arena stage on November 21 is Indian comedian and storyteller Anubhav Singh Bassi, who will bring his hit show Kisi Ko Batana Mat to Abu Dhabi. Known for turning everyday mishaps into wildly relatable stories, Bassi has built a huge following through his observational storytelling and deadpan delivery. From awkward family moments to questionable career decisions, his comedy finds the funny in the painfully familiar. His previous performances in the UAE have already earned him a loyal following, and his upcoming Abu Dhabi show promises more of the storytelling that has made him a favourite with audiences. Bassi is set to begin the double-show day with his set at 6pm. Tickets are on sale now, at etihadarena.ae. Fans of MADtv will know Spears from his eight seasons on the Fox sketch-comedy series, where he became known for his memorable characters and rapid-fire impressions. His repertoire has included impressions of everyone from Michael Jackson and Mike Tyson to Eddie Murphy. Beyond stand-up, Spears has appeared in films and television shows including The Pest alongside John Leguizamo and Jerry Maguire, where he played Tee Pee Tidwell, brother of Cuba Gooding Jr.’s character. His career has spanned comedy clubs, theatres, television, film and podcasting, earning him a global following for his boundary-pushing style.
