CMPLX Al Quoz doesn't exist yet – but here's what we know so far about Dubai's cool new neighbourhood
Get ready for food, coffee, wellness and more

Al Quoz is getting a new creative hangout – and this one sounds very cool. CMPLX is set to open in Al Quoz at the end of 2026, bringing a new warehouse-style destination to one of the city’s most creative neighbourhoods. The project will be made up of seven warehouse spaces, spanning food and drinks, a roastery, wellness, retail and creative concepts. One of the confirmed restaurants heading to CMPLX is Hikiniku To Come, a Japanese wagyu hamburger steak spot opening in Dubai this September. The restaurant is known for its hyper-focused approach to minced meat and rice, with wagyu patties grilled over charcoal and served with refillable rice cooked in traditional hagama pots. We think CMPLX will be the kind of place where you might go for coffee, stay for lunch, wander into a pop-up, browse some boutiques, then consider booking a Pilates class. Set within Dubai’s evolving arts and culture district, CMPLX is being designed as a destination for city dwellers, artists, food lovers and anyone looking for a more interesting way to spend a few hours in Al Quoz. The events space is expected to host cultural programming, performances, collaborations and creative happenings, while the roastery and restaurant will bring an on-site coffee and dining element to the destination. Design-wise, CMPLX is leaning into the raw character of Al Quoz, with converted warehouse spaces, exposed materials, double-height ceilings and mezzanine levels all part of the plan.
