Dubai unveils huge new Skylight Mall set to open in 2027

Dubai is already one of the world’s best destinations for shopping, and it’s set to be enhanced further with the arrival of Skylight Mall, a super-sized new retail and entertainment destination. Set to open on Al Khail Road in 2027, Skylight Mall is the newest development from Dubai Retail and is self-described as a ‘new super-regional destination’. Set over 1.3 million square feet, the mall will feature more than 360 shops, which will cover everything from fashion and accessories to homeware, everyday essentials, sport, family and so much more. Beyond shopping, Skylight Mall has been designed so that spaces seamlessly flow into each other, from shopping to dining to entertainment and social experiences, making this a destination not just for retail therapy, but for enjoying full days with family and friends. According to Dubai Retail, Skylight Mall’s strategic positioning on Al Khail Road will benefit thousands of local residents, promising to bring together everyday convenience and new lifestyle experiences. Dubai’s retail offering continues to expand, giving Dubai residents and visitors even more opportunities to shop ’till they drop. Alongside planned extensions at favourites like Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates, a string of new malls are set to open soon in Dubai. Later this year, First Avenue Mall Jumeirah will become quite the foodie destination, with confirmed concepts including celeb hangout Jon & Vinny’s, the fancy canteen concept Nala from the team behind Tashas, and a permanent outpost of Lost in Tokyo all part of the line-up. Elsewhere new malls in Sobha Hartlands, Tilal Al Ghaf and Dubai Creek Harbour are all planned for the coming years, giving residents new destinations to shop, dine and discover.
