Etihad Airways unveils stunning new A330 cabins

Etihad Airways has unveiled a world-first look at its new Airbus A330 cabin during Arabian Travel Market 2026. Set to enter service in September 2027, the A330 will feature Etihad’s new Beyond Borders product and experience, which is set to be rolled out across the fleet in the coming years. With a new, modern look and feel, the Airbus A330 will feature a new design language across a three-cabin Economy, Business and First class experience. Four first class suites at the front of the cabin will feature a 32-inch screen, wireless charging, dedicated compartments and a personal powder station stocked with premium amenities. Each suite comes with a closing door for privacy, while also having space for a guest to dine or socialise during the flight. For Business class passengers, 24 lie-flat seats await, all forward-facing, with direct aisle access and sliding doors. Each seat includes a 17.3-inch screen, wireless and wired charging, a large table and dedicated personal stowage. Economy features 252 seats within a bright and calm cabin environment, incorporating Etihad’s bespoke fixed-wing headrest embossed with the airline’s logo, 13.3-inch 4K touchscreens and convenient personal charging. A dedicated Extra Legroom section includes 32 seats with four inches of extra pitch for added comfort. Beyond Borders is the name of Etihad’s revolutionised product and experience, and will reimagine flying with the UAE’s national airline across its lounges, its fleet and on-the-ground experiences. Rooted in its origin, the design story is led by the concept ‘from sand to structure’, inspired by Abu Dhabi’s origins and its inspired transformation. The calm interiors are modern and serene, complemented by details like sconce lighting, genuine leather seating in premium cabins and more intuitive design touches. As well as all of Etihad’s 15 forthcoming new A330, of which 15 will launch in the next five years, Etihad will roll out Beyond Borders across the fleet through retrofit programmes, including on the A321LR across First, Business and Economy. The airline is investing an impressive USD 20 billion in its move into the Beyond Borders programme.
