New beach club Cala 399 to open this October in the old Blue Marlin location in Ghantoot

Those who lived – and partied in Dubai through the 2010s will likely remember Blue Marlin. Before the city’s influx of beach clubs exploded onto the scene, it was the place to be for Friday DJ sets from huge international acts (back when Friday-Saturday was the UAE weekend), and chilled-out Saturday brunches. But since the end of 2019, the space has remained closed – until now. Seven years later, a brand new beach club – Cala 399 – is finally set to take the place of the legendary Blue Marlin, bringing sun-soaked days and unforgettable nights back to the shores of Ghantoot. Cala 399 – an ode to the exit 399 you take to get there – is officially set to open on Saturday October 31, and will become the permanent home of Ollie Daze, a community event that brings people together for sport, wellness, music, art and outdoor adventure. Ollie Daze events will run every Saturday and Sunday from October 31, transforming Cala 399 into a sun-soaked spot for community and connection. Both kid-friendly and pet-friendly, guests will be able to enjoy experiences like yoga and breathwork sessions, SUP and kayaking, inflatable games, family entertainment, drum circle moments and creative workshops like painting.
