Not the wurst news: 6 of Dubai’s best Oktoberfest parties
Eins, zwei, drei yourself off from the summer sweat, lace-up the lederhosen and prepare to mingle in drindls because Munich’s biggest festival export is back… Forget brat summer, it’s all about bratwurst autumn and these are the best places in Dubai to raise ein stein or two and consume your bodyweight in Bavarian meat snacks. Forget brat summer, it’s all about bratwurst autumn and these are the best places in Dubai to raise ein stein or two and consume your bodyweight in Bavarian meat snacks. Because there ain’t no party like an oom-pah-ty. One of the biggest, longest running, most enthusiastically danced-to and uncompromisingly authentic Oktoberfests in the region, returns to the Grand Hyatt Dubai this October. Here you’ll find elaborate licensed-meat spreads to Munchen, Bavarian beerhall bangers from Germany’s own Die Kirchdorfer Oktoberfest band, and river torrents of Teutonic tonics to quench the obligatory wurst thirst. They have special brunches at the weekend (from Dhs269), but the party continues throughout the week with all-you-can-eat feasts form Dhs229. Where: Grand Hyatt Dubai, Dubai Healthcare City. Dates: Thursday to Sunday until October 31 Ernst is about as earnestly German as you can get without holding an actual Deutschland post code. So it’s little wonder they’re fully invested in the fest. 2026 marks their fifth annual celebration of the bier-a-palooza, and they’ve got pretty good at hitting all the right Marks (that’s the old German currency for anyone under the age of 45). Depending on how much Paulaner you’re Bayern, Ernst has a few different packages to choose from. You can start simple with Stein and Sausage combo (Dhs150), opt for a sharing platter for four (Dhs750) which includes hog-centric highlights, a pretzel tree and a beer tower. There’s a brunch option (from Dhs300) too, offering a range of classics from the Bavarian heartland – smoked salmon tartare, roasted pork, dumplings, spaetzle and apple pie. McG’s might be more used to celebrating its Irish lineage, but everyone has a little German in them come Oktoberfest. And throughout the month of harvest month, the Barsha location of McG’s will be offering signature craic, snacks, beer and beats from both Munich and Munster. Prost Malone! Time is running out to get yourself down to Fairmont’s Bavarian Garden. It’s worth it. The word is, it’s a straight nein-out-of-ten. The event takes over the culinary class of Flow Kitchen and spills it, like so much amber nectar, over the alfresco haven of Seaview Garden. It’s an um-pop-up, um-pop-up that focuses its eyes on real flavours from the fatherland. We’re talking bratwurst, weisswurst, schnitzel, oodles of strudel and kirschtorten. You can pair the affair with beer packages too, Dhs250 for two hours unlimited Bavarian hops. Where: Fairmont The Palm, Palm Jumeirah.
