Popular outdoor market, The Square returns this winter, and it’s here to stay

Dubai’s cooler months are bringing plenty to look forward to, including the return of outdoor markets. And this one is particularly good – for a number of reasons. The first being, The Square is reopening on November 21 in a brand new location. But that isn’t the only bit of news from this Shamal Holding-backed venture. The Square will now also be a year-round destination. A post shared by The Square NAS (@thesquarenas) Last year, The Square received over 700,000 visitors, proving its popularity. Its new space will be double the size of the popular OG location, featuring even more dining experiences across landscaped outdoor spaces, plus cultural and live events. It will even feature a new events arena. Foodies, you can expect 20 fine-dining and casual restaurants, cafes and experiences. Some of the popular spots returning this year include Cipriani, Public and Omar Odali, alongside homegrown entrants Hikiniku, a new concept by Home Bakery, The Espresso Lab and Shalwa, and international outlets Five Guys and Rowley’s. And there’s more to come. * Alserkal Avenue is hosting a massive food festival this October * Besides hoping from one food stall to the other, there will be a plethora of cultural and community events from live music to art and film, automotive culture, food experiences, wellness, markets, workshops and family programming. Oh, and for those of you driving over – you won’t have to battle for parking space, as there are more than enough spots.
