VOX Cinemas opens a brand-new cinema at City Centre Me’aisem

If you live in Dubai Production City (previously International Media Production Zone, or IMPZ), or one of the surrounding neighbourhoods, we have some good news: VOX Cinemas has officially opened at City Centre Me’aisem. If you’ve visited the mall to grab a bite, stock up on groceries or take the little ones to Magic Planet, you’ve probably spotted the large blue VOX Cinemas hoarding. And if you’ve been wondering when it would finally open, you now have your answer. What’s On was invited down to get a peek inside the new cinema and its six screens before opening. Until now, cinema fans had to head to Roxy Cinemas at Circle Mall or Star Cinemas at Junction Mall, while loyal VOX fans faced an approximately 18-minute drive to Mall of the Emirates. One of the biggest talking points about the new VOX Cinemas is that all six screens are LED. Unlike traditional cinema screens, which rely on a projector, direct-view LED screens produce the image themselves, resulting in brighter pictures, deeper blacks and sharper, more vivid visuals.
