Wizz Air is set to resume flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the low-cost airline has announced. In a post shared to Instagram, the budget airline confirmed that it would be resuming flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as additional regional destinations Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Amman in Jordan. The news will come as a welcome announcement both for European travellers looking to visit the UAE this winter, as well as UAE residents keen to snap up a bargain flight to Europe. Wizz Air will offer direct flights from Dubai to Budapest, Hungary and Bucharest, Romania. From October 25, the five-times-weekly service between Budapest and Dubai will operate with one-way fares from just Dhs269, while the same day will also see a daily service launch between Dubai and Bucharest, with fares from Dhs359. Passengers flying Wizz Air to Abu Dhabi will have more choice, with the airline set to launch flights to the UAE capital from 6 destinations. With Wizz Air, you’ll be able to fly to Abu Dhabi from Sofia (Bulgaria), Larnaca (Cyprus), Budapest (Hungary), Katowice and Krakow (Poland), and Cluj-Napoca (Romania). All of the routes will launch on either October 25 or 27, with cheap one-way flights from Dhs289. The return of Wizz Air flights to the UAE comes a year after Wizz Air Abu Dhabi suspended operations in September 2025, which it credited at the time to ‘a reassessment of market conditions and operational challenges in the Middle East.’ All flights are bookable now via wizzair.com.
